Winter weather is finally arriving in the DC metro region and that can mean snow and ice on roof and gutter surfaces. If your roof is older you may suffer significant damage this winter. Local roofers suggest that this is the ideal time to replace your roof in order to avoid damages from ice dams.

Ice dams can be dangerous when sun brings warmth to snow and ice covered roofs, as the trapped water can seep into and through your roof. This will lead to stains, peeling paint, and worst of all it can rot and deteriorate your ceiling. Extra protections are available with new roof installations to protect from these and other winter weather hazards.

If you would like to speak with a reputable roofer please feel free to call our team and we would be happy to share some recommendations from our clients. Homeowners often worry that roof replacement is not possible during the coldest months of the year, but our understanding is that this is not the case. One call to a good roofing firm will help to answer your questions and concerns, and possibly protect your property this winter!
